During a recent conference held in Tây Ninh, officials from the four provinces evaluated their current partnerships and discussed strategies to improve their coordination in tackling cross-border crimes. The meeting highlighted the importance of direct communication and regular interactions to facilitate the swift exchange of information and efficient handling of incidents involving crime that transcends national boundaries.
The provincial police forces have been actively sharing intelligence and cooperating to combat a range of criminal activities, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, smuggling, money laundering, and online fraud. By strengthening patrols and monitoring border trails and crossings, they aim to prevent illegal movements that could aid organized crime syndicates operating transnationally.
The conference also addressed emerging security challenges, such as terrorism, arms trafficking, and high-tech crime, with an emphasis on enhancing joint efforts to counter these threats.
