Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has concluded a significant three-day official tour to Russia, returning to Hanoi with the aim of bolstering bilateral ties. The visit was strategically timed to coincide with the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, which celebrated 35 years of ASEAN-Russia relations, underscoring the importance of this partnership.
During his time in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng attended pivotal summit sessions and business forums. He also engaged in high-level discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and regional leaders, where the emphasis was placed on enhancing collaboration in various sectors, including investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development.
The Vietnamese delegation made significant engagements with key Russian organizations and businesses. A highlight of the visit was witnessing the signing of several cooperation agreements, which are expected to pave the way for future collaborations. Additionally, new direct flight routes linking Vietnam and Russia were inaugurated, marking a step forward in improving connectivity between the two nations.
This visit underscored Vietnam’s dedication to reinforcing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia. Both nations have agreed on a set of measures to deepen their cooperation, aiming to yield more tangible outcomes across essential sectors.
